KINS adjudicated as the Best in Nursing Education & Training Excellence Institute in Eastern India
Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), has been honoured with yet another prestigious title of being adjudicated as the Best in Nursing Education & Training Excellence Institute in Eastern India among those selected after rigorous scrutinizing process at the 4th ICC National Nursing Excellence Summit, held at The Park Convention, Hyderabad on 11th July 2026. A detailed filled up format with multiple documental requirements were prepared as a prerequisite by the faculties of KINS under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Niyati Das, Principal KINS for being eligible for this award.
Steering under the visionary leadership of Founder, KIIT, KISS & KIMS Dr. Achyuta Samanta, this award clearly marks the growing national visibility and importance of KINS as a pioneer nursing institute of eastern India. Prof. Kalyani Rath, Vice Principal of KINS, proudly received the award on behalf of the institution from Dr. T. Dileep Kumar, President of the Indian Nursing Council, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare; Government of India and Dr. Devanand KT Member, ICC National Healthcare Committee, Chairperson-CAHO HR Forum & Co Founder of Nextenti.

In this context, the Indian Chamber of Commerce(ICC) along with Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations(CAHO), Indian Nursing Council(INC) and Association of Healthcare Providers (AHPI)organized the 4th ICC National Nursing Summit, followed by the National Nursing Excellence Awards on 11th July 2026, at The Park, Hyderabad to celebrate the exemplary contributions in nursing practice and nursing education across India.
The theme of the summit “Empowered Nurses, Transforming Healthcare: Leading the Change in a Dynamic World” was powerful because it positions nurses not just as caregivers but as leaders driving systemic change. ICC National Nursing Excellence Award serves as a significant platform to celebrate and strengthen the nursing profession in India, aligning with global efforts to address workforce challenges and improve healthcare delivery.
This award underscores KINS’s commitment to advancing nursing education and fostering professional growth. The institution has consistently demonstrated innovation in teaching, research, and clinical practice. By nurturing skilled nurses, KINS strengthens healthcare delivery in Eastern India and beyond.
Prof. Kalyani Rath expressed gratitude for representing KINS, under the aegis of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT),deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar.
