Three-day NABL Training Programme Concludes at Dept of Biochemistry, KIMS

A three-day training programme was conducted in the Department of Biochemistry, Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) on “Internal audit and Quality management services as per ISO-15189: 2022” from August 25 to August 27 in collaboration with Genx Consultancy Services.

The programme targeted skill and knowledge upgradation of faculties and laboratory technicians of the Departments of Biochemistry, Pathology and Microbiology so as to facilitate a smooth run of National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accredited laboratories.

The inaugural session began with the presence of Medical Superintendent AVM Prof (Dr) R. C. Das, Dr. Ambarish Padhee Laboratory Director KIMS Central Laboratory, Senior Professor Dr. Shrikrushna Mohapatra of Dept of Biochemistry and Prof Dr. Biswajit Mohanty, MD Genx Diagnostic Services.  The session began with spiritual invocations and an introduction to the programme by Organising Secretary, Prof Dr. Viyatprajna Acharya, Dept of Biochemistry, KIMS.

It was an interactive programme where the recent changes in the NABL guidelines were taken up and lively sessions were taken with practical examples by senior NABL assessors like Prof Dr. Biswajit Mohanty, Prof. Dr. Suryanarayana Mishra, Dr. Bibhudatta Routray and Dr. Saurav Patra. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by the Organising Chairperson Prof. Dr. Tapaswini Pradhan, HOD, Dept of Biochemistry.
