Second Edition of “Postgraduate Pharmacology” Book Released

The second edition of the book “Postgraduate Pharmacology” was released in August 2024 and is now available online for postgraduate pharmacology students, M.Pharm trainees, and clinical researchers. The first edition was published in July 2020.

The book is authored by Dr. Sougata Sarkar (DM in Clinical Pharmacology, currently a Senior Resident at the School of Tropical Medicine, Kolkata), Dr. Vartika Srivastava (Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, KIMS Bhubaneswar), and the late Dr. Manjushree Mohanty (former Head of the Department of Pharmacology, KIMS Bhubaneswar).

This new edition has been thoroughly revised and updated, with the addition of several important new sections and chapters. It comprises 15 sections and 198 chapters, covering almost all essential areas of the postgraduate pharmacology curriculum.

The book includes critical topics in clinical pharmacology, toxicology, screening methods, and analytical techniques in biochemistry and biotechnology. Additionally, it provides a solid foundation in the basics of statistics, essential for postgraduate research.

Each chapter is complemented by clear illustrations and tables, making complex concepts easier to grasp. Written in a reader-friendly and lucid style, the book is an excellent exam preparation resource for postgraduate students. It is published by Paras Medical Publishers.
