NTEP Training for PGs and Interns held by Dept of Respiratory Medicine, KIMS

The Department of Respiratory Medicine organized a training programme on National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) on the 20th of December 2024. The programme intended to train interns and PGs about the various aspects of NTEP and their role in the programme.

The meeting commenced with a welcome note by Prof. (Dr.) A K Mohapatra, HOD, Dept of Respiratory Medicine. He talked about the burden of tuberculosis and methods of diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary TB. This was followed by a lecture on extra-pulmonary TB delivered by Dr. Saswat Subhankar, Associate Professor, Dept of Respiratory Medicine, KIMS. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sabitarani Pramanik, MO, NTEP.

The meeting was held at Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences and was attended by nearly 60 PGs and interns from various departments.
