Medical Schools of KIIT-DU Unwind with KIMS-FEST ‘Karte-Blanche- 2022’
After two years hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, KIMS-FEST ‘Karte Blanche-2022’ was held from 18th to 28th October 2022 featuring a slew of cultural, academic and sports activities. The fest attracted enthusiastic participation from students of MBBS, BDS, Nursing and Allied Sciences.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS; Prof. (Dr.) C.B.K. Mohanty, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Brig. Prof. A.P. Mohanty, Principal, KIMS; and Prof. (Dr.) Shubhransu Patro, Vice-Principal graced the closing ceremony of ‘Karte Blanche-2022’ and gave away prizes to winners of various competitive events. Many faculty members of KIMS were also awarded during the event.
For 11 days, the campuses reverberated with multifarious activities like indoor and outdoor sports, music, dance, drama, different art forms and poetry, debates, and talent shows. The 2018 batch MBBS took the lead role in organizing the fest. Prof. (Dr.) Viyatprajna Acharya, Biochemistry, KIMS acted as the overall coordinator and Dr. Soumya Mishra, Associate Professor guided the cultural committee. Mr. Ashutosh Khadanga, Mr. Mohit Raj, Mr. Debashish Samal and Mr. Bikram Pal took the lead role in conducting the cultural competitions and prize distribution ceremony.
Sports activities were facilitated by student coordinators S Anurag, Sandeep Pradhan and Ajit Sahu under the guidance of Dr. Sudeep Satpathy and Dr. Prem Sagar. Similarly, Ayush Mahala, Saubhagya Panda and Priyanshu Mohapatra coordinated the academic events under the guidance of Dr. Ratikant Tripathy and Prof. (Dr) Kumudini Panigrahi.
