KIMS Organizes Virtual Demonstration on Online Assessment Platform

A virtual demonstration on an online assessment platform by Mercer Mettl was organized at KIMS on 10th August 2021. It was organized by Dr. Magna Manjareeka, Professor in Physiology. Director General, Maj. Gen Dr. P. K. Patnaik, welcomed the audience and briefed on the importance of online assessment technology. The talk was aimed to sensitize regarding the use of artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in conducting online assessment for medical students and to prevent malpractices during the online examination. It was attended by the HODs of various departments and the members of the Medical Education Unit (MEU) of KIMS. The faculties put forth various queries and discussed the use of AI technology for internal assessment and also during the professional examinations.

Mr. Tanish Pruthi, on behalf of Mercer Mettl gave a presentation in briefing the features of the software and different modalities by which examination process can be proctored. The talk was concluded by Dr. Magna Manjareeka moderating the queries, and vote of thanks proposed by Dr. M. C. Das, Coordinator of MEU and Dr. Jayanti Mishra, Joint Coordinator of MEU.
