KIMS Faculty Invited as Guest Faculty at AIIMS Patna Conference
Dr. Rajendra Sahoo, Consultant Pain and Palliative Care Medicine, KIMS was invited as a Guest Faculty for the practical hands-on Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management Conference and Workshop at AIIMS, Patna, held on 2nd and 3rd October 2021. Dr. Sahoo delivered two lectures and demonstrated various “ultrasound-guided basic and advanced nerve and plexus block techniques” on volunteers to young residents of AIIMS and other medical colleges of Bihar. He also performed two live ultrasound guided nerve block procedures in the OT which was relayed to the participants sitting in the auditorium. This was highly interactive with lots of tips, tricks, and clinical pearls sharing.
Other faculties were from AIIMS Delhi, AIIMS Rishikesh, SMS Jaipur and Tata Hospital, Jamshedpur. Dr Sahoo’s lectures and practical hands-on demonstrations were highly appreciated by the attending delegates. A total of 50 young postgraduate doctors and few consultant doctors attended the two-day hands-on practical workshop. Dr. Sahoo expressed his gratitude and thanks to Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT, KISS & KIMS; the DG, KIMS; Principal, Medical Superintendent; his department HOD and colleagues for their support, facilities and encouragement.
