KIMS Doctors Imparts WHO RAC Training
Reducing MMR is a high priority in India. Unsafe abortions accounts for 8% of deaths. Keeping this in mind, the MOHFW amended the MTP Laws in India in September 2021. Respectful Abortion Care (RAC) is a joint venture by WHO and FOGSI towards prevention of maternal deaths in relation to abortions. FOGSI in association with AOGO conducted a WHO RAC Training on 23rd February 2022 on an online platform. Dr. Manasi Pattnaik from KIMS imparted training to more than 150 doctors. She spoke about pre and post abortion care and the different methods available today for a safe abortion.
