KIMS Doctor Delivers Lecture on Role of Medical Colleges in National Leprosy Eradication Program
Professor Dr. Hemanta Kumar Kar, KIMS delivered a lecture on ‘Role of Medical Colleges in National Leprosy Eradication Program’ at a webinar organized by the Govt. of Odisha, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare on the occasion of Anti Leprosy Day on 30th January 2022. Additional Secretary Health, Prof Ajit Mohanty presided over the function. Director PH, Dr. Niranjan Mishra; Director HS, Dr. Bijay Mohapatra; Dr. S. N. Pati, Consultant ILEP, Dr. B. Dutta, WHO, Dr. Amarendranath Mohanty, Director, SIHFW, Prof. Jayashree Mohanty, SCB Medical College, Dr. Santaram, Director, RLTRI, Aska and Dr. R. K. Pati, Addl. Director and SLO were other speakers. This year KIMS has started the Urban Leprosy Centre in the Department of Dermatology with the help of State Leprosy Officer-cum-Additional Director of Directorate of Health, Odisha.
