KIMS Blood Bank Observes Blood Donation Day With A Camp Organised at Smart Village Kalarabanka

On the auspicious day of Gandhi Jayanti, the KIMS Blood Bank hosted a blood donation camp at KEMS and KIMS—an event that exceeded all expectations. As we arrived at the “Smart Village,” a bold sign welcomed us: “The Art of Giving.” This phrase captured the inspiring vision of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, whose commitment to spreading peace and joy resonates throughout this remarkable village.

One of the day’s most unforgettable moments unfolded when Mr. Biyat Bihari Mishra, the school principal, inaugurated the event by donating blood himself. His radiant smile lit up the room, inspiring everyone present. A diverse crowd gathered—some in their sixties, others perhaps a bit bleary-eyed from a late night—each patiently waiting to contribute, embodying the true spirit of giving. It was especially heart-warming to see so many courageous women stepping forward to donate, a testament to the strength of unity in support of a noble cause.

While a few hopeful attendees had to leave disappointed due to health restrictions, the atmosphere remained filled with gratitude and respect. Each individual present was a hero in their own right, reminding us that simply showing up is as vital as the act of donating blood.

The ethos of “The Art of Giving” has woven itself into the very fabric of Kalarabank. We extend our heartfelt thanks to KIIT, KISS, and KIMS for connecting us with such remarkable individuals. Their kindness and generosity exemplify the enduring spirit of this community.

As the story of Kalarabank continues to unfold, it is propelled by an extraordinary spirit of generosity. We left feeling uplifted and inspired, grateful for everyone who participated that day. They didn’t merely donate blood; they forged a legacy, a beautiful reminder that together, we are indeed stronger and that compassion knows no bounds.
