International Recognition for KIMS Scientist

Dr. Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra, Scientist at R&D Department of Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) and Assistant Professor at School of Biotechnology, KIIT-DU was invited to serve as a reviewer within the Life Sciences Panel of Poland’s National Science Center. The selection to the European funding agencies’ panel is based on the expertise and recognition of the reviewer in the field. This prestigious assignment being conferred on Dr. Mohapatra, lends credence to his expertise in the field of Cancer Immunometabolism, which is attested by his patents and publications in reputed journals like Cell.

Poland’s National Science Centre is a government agency, supervised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, set up in 2011 to support research in Poland. With a budget of over € 200 M a year, the National Science Centre funds projects in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Life Sciences and Physical Sciences and Engineering. The centre supports basic research by funding research projects carried out by individual researchers and research teams, both on the domestic and international level, as well as doctoral fellowships and postdoctoral internships. The National Science Centre announces calls for proposals four times a year.
