A 500-Bedded COVID Hospital at KIMS All Set to Resume Services to Patients

Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) has received the green signal from the Government of Odisha to functionalize a 500-bedded Govt. COVID Hospital from 23rd April 2021.

Consequently the KIMS COVID Hospital is all set to serve the COVID patients with its state-of-the–art facilities and advanced treatment by a team of renowned doctors, informed Maj. Gen. Prof. Dr. P. K. Patnaik, Principal, KIMS and Director General, School of Medicine.

According to Brig (Dr.) Ambika Prasad Mohanty, Medical Superintendent, KIMS, this Hospital has a separate building with separate entry and exit points. It will cater to COVID Patients with ICU, HDU, Neonatal ICU & Obstetrics HDU Services. The Hospital will have multifarious facilities like 50 bedded ICU, 50 bed HDU, 20 bed NIW, Maternal & Child Care facilities, Operation Theatre, Delivery Facilities and Dialysis Facilities  for the benefit of Covid patients.

This time also KIMS will make all out efforts in providing best possible treatment to patients”, added Dr. Samanta.
