YRC KIIT Volunteers Participate in National Women’s Summit 2025

Volunteers from YRC KIIT took part in the National Women’s Summit 2025, organized by OYSS Women. Centered on the theme “Ending Violence Against Women: A New Road Map,” the event commenced with an energetic rally highlighting women’s rights and safety.Renowned women’s rights activist Smt. Manasi Pradhan addressed the volunteers, stressing the urgent need for policy reforms, community engagement, and education to combat gender-based violence. The summit also showcased a captivating cultural program featuring artistic depictions of various goddesses, symbolizing the strength, resilience, and divinity of women.Acclaimed actress and activist Archita Sahu delivered a poignant speech on domestic violence, sharing personal insights and practical strategies for supporting survivors and raising awareness. Senior officials from Vedanta also engaged with volunteers, emphasizing corporate responsibility in fostering safe environments for women.

Certificates were later awarded to volunteers. The summit concluded with a community food distribution initiative, underscoring the importance of collective action toward building a society free from violence against women.YRC Counsellors Dr. Chitralekha Jena, Dr. Junali Jasmine Jena, Dr. Ajit Kumar Pasayat, and Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sethi Jena encouraged volunteers to actively apply insights gained from the event in their work.
