The volunteers of YRC KIIT unit participated in a rally 1st October, 2024 to create awareness on the importance of donating blood to save someone’s life on the eve of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day. The rally commenced from AG Square and concluded at Red Cross Bhavan, where a large number of students from different colleges and Universities of Bhubaneswar participated rendering slogans with placards in emphasizing the importance of blood donation.
Dr. Chitralekha Jena, Counsellor, KIIT DU offered unwavering support to the team. Many officers from Indian Red Cross Society with counsellors from different colleges and Universities also participated to encourage the volunteers. Lastly, prizes were awarded to the volunteers, who had donated blood multiple times in a year.
Ms. Maitreyi Mishra, an active YRC KIIT volunteer from KIIT Law School was awarded for her exceptional commitment, having donated blood several times over the past three years. This recognition underscored the significant impact of individual contributions to the community.
