YRC KIIT Organizes Awareness on AIDS and HIV Awareness through Flash Mob

The Youth Red Cross, KIIT University, organized an impactful AIDS and HIV awareness campaign through flash mobs at various malls and other crowded locations on 8th November 2024. Themed “India Fights HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infection,” this vibrant initiative aimed to spread awareness about AIDS as a global health concern and foster community education and empathy.

The project was funded by the Odisha State AIDS Control Society, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Odisha. Approximately 50 enthusiastic YRC KIIT volunteers participated under the guidance of counselors Dr. Chitraleka Jena, Dr. Junali Jasmine Jena, Dr. Ajit Kumar Pasayat, and Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sethi. The choreography for the event was directed by Mrs. Lipsa Subhadarshini. Together, they presented a series of captivating performances designed to engage and inform the public.

Each performance drew attention, creating memorable moments to inspire conversation and awareness within the community. Volunteers also distributed informative pamphlets to educate the public.
