YRC KIIT volunteers conducted a Nukkad Natak on ‘Drug Awareness’ as a part of NASA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAN-a national initiative focused on achieving a Drug-Free India on 16th October 2025.

The Nukkad was presented with the hopes of spreading a beautiful message, prioritizing life before a moment of addiction. The combined efforts of the student helped in the successful execution of the event in front of the youth audience.

The Nukkad rightfully showed how students often get influenced by their peers and slowly start getting addicted to smoking and alcohol. They take money from home making excuses just to buy alcohol and when they get caught for it, they go to the extent of killing themselves. If we keep ignoring the seriousness of the situation, we will slowly start losing our youth in the wrong way. To stop it we must spread awareness and make active changes and that doesn’t happen in just one day but by following different creative prevention methods.

The unwavering efforts of the YRC KIIT team were guided by Dr. Chitralekha Jena, Dr. Junali Jasmine Jena, Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sethi, and Dr. Ajit Kumar Pasayat, whose leadership inspired the volunteers to contribute wholeheartedly.

Special thanks were extended to Prof. Jnyana  Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar KIIT DU and Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor, KIIT DU for their invaluable support to be a part of this proud moment. YRC, KIIT has also extended thankfulness to Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder KIIT , KISS and KIMS for his constant support and motivation in undertaking such social activities.
