World Anaesthesia Day observed at KIMS
World Anaesthesia Day commemorates the first successful demonstration of Ether Anaesthesia on 16th October, 1846. The date (16th October) is now globally recognized as World Anaesthesia Day in respect of the importance of this event.
A “Compression Only Life Support”(COLS) awareness programme was organized by Department of Anaesthesiology, KIMS at KP-14 Hostel. Our faculties Prof.(Dr.) Amit Pradhan, Dr. Lingaraj Sahu, Dr. Ashok Badamali and Dr. Jyoti Ranjan Parida along with PG Trainees demonstrated and conducted hands-on training to around 300 KIIT employees.
World Anaesthesia Day was observed in the Department of Anaesthesiology. Dr. Bishnu Prasad Panigrahi(CEO, KIMS) and Dr. Saktimaya Mohapatra(Facility Director) were present on the occasion.
