Training Programme for Hostel Supervisory Staff conducted
A Training Programme on soft skills & behaviour for thirty seven identified hostel supervisory staff was conducted in the Conference Hall, Campus-3 on 14th December, 2019. This Training Programme is the first of a series of programmes for teaching & non teaching staff devised and prepared by the Committee on HRD while approved by the Pro-Vice Chancellor.
The Programme was inaugurated by the Registrar of KIIT Deemed to be University Prof. J.R.Mohanty. Prof. Isha Mishra, Associate Professor from KIIT School of Management acted as the Resource person. She deliberated on topics like attitude, behaviour, time management & the mantra for the best behaviour at work place. The Programme was also attended by Dr. N. Tripathy, DG, Administration and Sri Sibananda Mishra, Director, HR who played the role of facilitators.
The participants were encouraged to share their own experiences while dealing with students who hail from nook and cranny of India. Many participants recounted about their response under very challenging situations. Issues regarding management of hostels, problems of students and possible steps that can be taken to provide solutions were discussed. Good practices like speaking appropriately, know your job & organization, be good with people, meeting deadlines, making positive contributions, communicating effectively were shared with the participants.
Vote of Thanks and concluding remarks were given by Dr. Chinmay Kumar Das, Director (Admn.) from Founder’s Office. The programme was also attended by other Officers of HR Department, while monitored by the HR Cell, KIIT Deemed to be University.
