Technical Talk on “State of the Art Fighter Aircraft Engines”

Shri Debashis Deb, Executive Director, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) – Koraput Divison delivered a talk on “State of the Art Fighter Aircraft Engines” under Mechanical Engineering Colloquium Lecture Series at KIIT on 28th September, 2018.
He presented the fundamental aspects of gas turbine engine principle and a brief outline of different generations of fighter aircraft engines manufactured and overhauled by HAL. He explained the manufacturing processes involved in production of aero engine components and also shared the information about various manufacturing facilities available at HAL-Koraput Division. He emphasized on the importance of joint collaboration of industry and academia to resolve the technical issues faced by the industry.
