Students of KIIT Quizzing Society bagged the Runners Up Position in the Regional Round of NTPC Electron Quiz
Abhik Biswas, (4th Year B-Tech) and Nikhil Mishra (3rd Year B-Tech), students of School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University and members of Qutopia – The Quizzing Society, have bagged the Runners Up position at the Regional Round of the NTPC Electron Quiz, held at Indian Council of Cultural Relations, Kolkata on 30th September, 2019.
The quiz, hosted by Renowned Quizmaster Gautam Bose, had seen an astounding audience of dedicated quizzers from all over Eastern India. The quiz started off with the written prelims round, followed by which 6 teams had made it to the final round. The questions mostly comprised of mind-boggling trivia from the world of Business and Management, and kept the audience and the finalists intrigued throughout the quiz session.
The duo from KIIT, although had a slow start, gradually took up the momentum as the quiz intensified, and held the ground ever since. After a neck to neck battle with IIT Kharagpur towards the end, the team emerged as the runners up. They were awarded Rs.20,000 as Prize Money, and will be representing the Eastern Zone, along with IIT Kharagpur and CET Bhubaneswar on 14th of October, in New Delhi.
