State-of-the-Art Physiotherapy Center Inaugurated at KIMS

A state-of-the-art Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Center was inaugurated at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) by Shri Naba Kishore Das, Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Odisha on July 27, 2019. The center has all types of ultra modern physiotherapy and occupational therapy equipment. 

The Minister also inaugurated the Year-long Mega Health Camp by KIMS for four districts- Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh and Ganjam. Inaugurating the programme, Shri Das said, the initiative taken by KIMS to provide health services in remote areas of these four districts are praiseworthy. He thanked Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KIMS for the initiative. 

The Mega Health Camp with free medicine distribution will be held in every block headquarters of these four districts on first Sunday of every month. The programme will be held in 20 blocks of these districts in first phase. Doctors, specialists and para-medical staff from KIMS will join the camp and provide health services. Besides, the mega health camp will be held in district headquarters twice every month. Doctors and specialists with modern medical equipment will be available in these health camps.
