The Regional Meet for Sports and Athletics of Zone-V, Polytechnic Fest 2018 – 19 was inaugurated by Sri R.N. Dash, Secretary KIIT and KISS in KIIT Sports Complex, Campus 15-B on 2nd of November, 2018.
In his address, the Secretary motivated the participants with examples of various national and international Odia achievers in the field of sports and athletics. Citing the popular quote of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS, i.e. “What I was in the past, What I am today and What I will be in future”, he advised the participants to excel in the field of sports and athletics .
At the outset, the welcome address was given by Dr. Pradip Ranjan Tripathy, Principal, KIIT Polytechnic. In his address, he emphasized on the ambience, infrastructure and territory of KIIT and KISS Deemed to be Universities to be used during various sports events. He also welcomed all the participants of different polytechnics in the zone with their faculty guides.
Mrs. Nilima Sahu, Principal, Government Polytechnic, Bhubaneswar was the Guest of Honor who gave a motivational speech to all the participants to play all the events with a true sportsman’s spirit.
Dr. Gaganendu Dash, Director Sports, KIIT DU elaborated the rules and regulations of the events to be followed and introduced the Sports Officers to the participants.
Eventually, Mr. Satyasunder Das, Administrative Officer, KIIT Polytechnic proposed the Vote of Thanks.
