The Research, Development & Innovation (RDI) Cell of KIIT DU organised an orientation programme for PhD scholars on the Web of Science Core Collection and Journal Citation Reports. The session was conducted by Dr. Subhashree Nag, Senior Business Solution Consultant, Clarivate.

Setting the context, Prof. Suresh Chandra Satapathy, Director of Doctoral Research and Publications, spoke about the research and innovation ecosystem of KIIT and its role in promoting high-quality, impactful research. He emphasized that PhD scholars must avail themselves of the various tools available in Clarivate for conducting research reviews, citing references, and identifying research collaborators in niche areas.

Dr. Nag also led an interactive session with a focused group of researchers on the responsible use of AI within Clarivate platforms, highlighting how these tools can improve research efficiency, support in-depth bibliometric analysis, and generate meaningful insights into research performance.

These interactive sessions reflected KIIT’s strong commitment to equipping researchers with reliable tools, promoting responsible AI practices, and building a globally competitive research ecosystem for long-term growth. Over 250 PhD scholars from all schools participated enthusiastically. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Suman Mohanty, and the entire sessions were supervised by Dr. Amlana Panda, Assistant Registrar (R&D).
