RDI Cell Hosts International Talks on Epigenetics & Healthcare 4.0

KIIT-DU continues to promote global research excellence through its distinguished research and innovation talk series. On 14th May 2026, the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Cell hosted international speakers Dr. Sunny Ahonsi, Chief Executive Officer, School of BioNatural Medicine, London, England and Dr. Roberto Volpe MD, PhD, Professor of Medicine at the European University of Rome and Elbasan, & Researcher at the National Research Council of Italy.

The session commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Gopal C. Kundu, Director, RDI. Following the welcome, Dr. Ahonsi delivered an insightful lecture on “An Integrative and Investigative Approach to True Healthcare 4.0,” emphasizing the evolving dimensions of integrative healthcare systems and modern medical research. Subsequently, Dr. Volpe presented an engaging talk on “How Epigenetics Helps to Achieve Longevity in Good Health,” offering valuable perspectives on the role of epigenetics in preventive healthcare and healthy aging.


The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from research scholars, faculty members, and students across various disciplines, all of whom benefited immensely from the profound insights shared by the distinguished speakers. The dignitaries present included Prof. Suresh Chandra Satapathy, Prof. Ashok Kumar Sahoo, Dr. Amlana Panda, Dr. Rahul Modak, Dr. Khemraj Sharma, and Mr. Sourasis Chattopadhyay, all of whom shared their support for the objective of the session in driving academic excellence.


Following the session, the distinguished guests met with Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor, KIIT DU to explore strategic opportunities for student exchange programs and joint research initiatives, aiming to foster robust global academic cooperation and drive innovation through shared academic goals.
