One day Physics Workshop at KIIT Anveshika
One day Hands On Physics Workshop for B.Sc Physics Hons. Students was held at KIIT IAPT Anveshika, KiiT International School, BBSR on 20th January, 2020 which was inaugurated by Dr. Mona Lisa Bal Chairperson of KiiT International School as Chief Guest along with Mrs. Rinku Sarangi, Vice Principal of KiiT International School as Guest of Honor.
Eminent experimental Physicist of National repute Prof. Sarmistha Sahu, Coordinator of Ammanni IAPT Anveshika, Bangalore was the Chief Speaker & key resource persons of the workshop. Mrs. Rajashree Mohapatra, Coordinator KIIT IAPT Anveshika, BBSR had invited Prof . Sarmistha Sahu, organized and coordinated the whole program. The workshop started with the lighting of the lamp.
Chairperson of KiiT International School Dr. Mona Lisa Bal in her welcome address enquired from the students how they developed an interest in the study of Physics and exhorted the students to be the pathfinders for others in the society. Vice Principal of KiiT International School Mrs. Rinku Sarangi encouraged the participants to develop new strategies. Mrs. Rajashree Mohapatra asked the participants to be research oriented and develop new innovations where the society will be benefited at large.
Dr. Mona Lisa Bal and Mrs. Rinku Sarangi felicitated Prof. Sarmistha Sahu with mementoes. Selected forty students from different colleges & Universities (BJB Autonomous college, Hi Tech Science college, KMBB College, OUAT University)had participated in the workshop. The participants learnt Hands on working with spreadsheet, Potential 1D motion with functions, 2D motion (projectile) with numerical analysis, Coriollis force, centrifugal force, Quantum Harmonic Oscillator & many more. The workshop ended with vote of thanks by Mrs. Rajashree Mohapatra and certificates were distributed amongst the participants for their active participation.
