NSS Unit of KIIT School of Law organized Swachhata Abhiyan
Awareness Campaign in Nandankanan Zoological Park
The NSS Unit of KIIT School of Law organized a ‘Swachhata Abhiyan’ and ‘Awareness Campaign’ in Nandankanan Zoological Park, Bhubaneswar on 24th November, 2019. The NSS volunteers along with the Programme Officer of NSS Unit, KIIT School of Law, Ms. Jinia Kundu actively participated and cleaned the Nandankanan Zoological Park by getting segregated into small groups.
Moreover, students from various schools who had come for visiting the Zoo, were explained about the importance of cleanliness which should be maintained in the Zoo. The Volunteers also made them aware about their proper behavior and treatment towards the animals. This campaign was done keeping in mind the increase of animal cruelty and ill treatment. The school students were quite responsive and enthusiastic. They also interacted with the NSS Volunteers.
The NSS Volunteers targeted the first time tourists to explain not to tease animals. Through the posters drawn by the Volunteers, they also got a better idea and it was quite impactful. The entire event was a great success.
