NSS Unit of KIIT SCE conducted “PAKDAM PAKDAI” to promote Healthy Living through Outdoor Games
The NSS Unit of School of Electrical Engineering on the eve of NSS WEEK assumed the initiative to promote Healthy Living through outdoor games at Campus 15, A-Block, Kabaddi Ground on 22nd September, 2019.
The event was named “Pakdam Pakdai” which consisted of “Kabaddi”. The NSS Volunteers of School of Electrical Engineering worked hard all throughout the week for making the event a grand one in order to spread the message of healthy living through field games like Kabaddi in this digital world. The response from students was beyond expectation. Students from almost all the Schools of KIIT registered themselves online till 21st September.
The event started at 2 P.M.Teams belong to different schools turned up and registered themselves offline. There were about 80 participants (2nd, 3rd, and 4th year) overall from different schools. Referees from KIIT & KISS were allotted by the sports Department. They fully cooperated and helped the NSS Unit of SCE for fare evaluation of the game.
The matches were quite thrilling and nail biting. In the end, the team- “Beast” of School of Mechanical Engineering marched ahead and bagged the 1st prize by defeating the team-“Bahubalis” of School of Electrical Engineering. The Winners and the Runners-up were awarded with medals and certificates. E-Certificates were also arranged for all the participants and volunteers of the event.
Event Coordinators Sevanti Pal and Sarnajit Santra took the responsibility of organizing the event peacefully under the guidance of NSS PO, Ms. Snehalika. Overall the event was grand, well executed and successful.
