The NSS Unit of KIIT School of Law, organized a Special Camp in the adopted village Pathargadia, under Chandaka Panchayat, Bhubaneswar between 31st August, 2019 to 7th September, 2019  to facilitate intense social connectivity between the society and the volunteers.

Over the period of seven days, the volunteers engaged themselves in various activities involving the locals of the campsite, and strove for personality development. This provided a strong platform for community engagement and working at grass root level.

The Special Camp organized by NSS Unit School of Law, included activities like Demographic Survey, Drugs Abuse Awareness, Nukkad, Skit on Road Safety, Yoga, Plantation Drive, Drawing, Dancing & Singing Sessions, Swach Bharat Abhiyaan, Personal Health & Hygiene Awareness, Self Defence Session, Story Telling Session, Ganesh Puja Celebration, Origami Session, Good Touch-Bad Touch Session and Road Safety Rally.

On 7th September, 2019, the Valedictory Ceremony at the Government Upper Primary School, Pathargadia Village was graced by Ms. Sadhana Mishra, Social Development Officer, Kalinga Institute of Social Science (KISS). She interacted with the girl students and briefed them about the importance of Menstrual Hygiene. Further she shared her views and ideas on how students can build a better society.

Gracing the ceremony, Associate Prof.  (Dr.) Kajal Parashar, Programme Coordinator, KIIT NSS Bureau commended the initiative taken up by the NSS Unit, KIIT School of Law as organization of such Special Camp is a noteworthy event of NSS activities. Prof. S. K. S. Parashar,  Associate Professor,  School of Applied Sciences also graced the august gathering.

The event concluded on an optimistic note with Programme Officer, Ms. Jinia Kundu delivering the Vote of Thanks.
