National Science Day Celebrated at KIIT

The National Science Day has been celebrated in KIIT Deemed to be University on 28th February 2022. On this occasion Dr. Saroj Kumar Swain, Director, CIFA delivered a talk on the theme for this year- ‘Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future. Dr. Swain said, the main purpose of this day is to develop an interest in science among students and to create awareness among people. The Farming community is the best scientist. Everyday farming communities are doing wonders. The meaning of sustainability is known to everybody. India has developed in every sphere significantly. It is possible due to progress in science and technology. Earlier the situation in India in food production was very horrible. Now things have changed. We are now producing surplus food. Nowadays we have to make an integrated approach in science and technology for a sustainable future. Science and technology should be integrated with other branches and develop new innovations for sustainable development, he added. 

Prof. Sasmita Samanta, VC, KIIT Deemed to be University said new innovations can be achieved through the integration of other fields to various branches of engineering. The students can get various opportunities to explore. Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT Deemed to be University gave welcome address while Prof. Prasanta Kumar Rath, Dean, KIIT School of Applied Sciences proposed the vote of thanks.
