An interactive meeting of mentee institutions under the PARAMARSH Programme was held in virtual mode on 15th July 2021. In all, 86 participants from 28 institutions (universities and colleges) attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Pro-Vice Chancellor, KIIT Deemed to be University and Accreditation Ambassador, PARAMARSH highlighted the importance of accreditation and stressed the need to know our strength and plan for future course of action accordingly. She motivated all the participants to prepare a proper plan of action for research, teaching and academics to get a decent rating in the accreditation process.

In his welcome address, Prof. (Dr) Jayanta Kumar Parida, Director, KIIT School of Commerce & Economics and Director, PARAMARSH welcomed all the participants and highlighted the importance of the NAAC accreditation, requirements for accreditations and guidelines for preparing the accreditation report. He also reviewed the progress of every institution as regards to preparation and submission of AQARs and SSR.

On interaction, Prof. Parida zeroed on the importance of AQARs as it carries weightage in accreditation. He advised to clearly stick on the three things; i.e., Documentation, Communication and Presentation in order to get good grades. Terms and Terminology used by NAAC must be clearly understood while preparing AQAR and SSR.

There was a one to one discussion with all the mentee institutions where they spoke about their present accreditation status and the support and guidance they needed from the KIIT-DU. It was decided to call the mentee institutions in three phases to KIIT-DU from the 1st week of August, 2021 to hand hold them to write their AQAR/SSR Report.

The meeting ended with a formal vote of thanks by Prof. Biswajeet Mishra, Dean-Quality Assurance and Coordinator of PARAMARSH.
