KSOM Organizes FDP on ‘Advanced Techniques in Designing MOOCs’

KIIT School of Management (KSOM) organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on ‘Advanced Techniques in Designing MOOCs’ in collaboration with Guru Angad Dev Teachers Learning Centre (GAD TLC), New Delhi and MHRD, Govt. of India. Dr. Vimal Rarh from GAD TLC, MHRD, GoI; Dr. S. K. Mahapatra, Director, KSOM; and Dr. S. N. Misra, Dean graced the valedictory session of the program.    

Coordinated and conceptualized by Dr. Shikta Singh, Associate Professor, KSOM, the seven-day program received encomium from all the participants. They expressed their valuable feedback for making the program a grand success and interest for conducting more such sessions in times to come.

The FDP was attended by 90 registered participants representing different universities and industries from all across India. They included doctors, health professionals, academicians, scholars and other professionals. There were 14 different technical sessions held over seven days and hands-on sessions each day on topics like Use of Simulations, Designing MOOCs, LMS Moodle, Use of OBS in recording lectures, Creating webpage, Creating Interactive PPTs, Assessment Tools, etc.

These sessions were conducted by distinguished resource persons like Dr. Debasish Das, Co-founder Human links learning; Dr. Sambit Mallick, IIT Guwahati; Dr. A. K. Bakhshi, VC, PDM University; Dr. Vimal Rarh, Project Country Head, MHRD, GOI; Dr. Arun Julka, Delhi University; Dr. Shikta Singh, KSOM; Dr. Ashok Sar, KSOM; Dr. Shwetaleena Bidyadhar, SVP & Global Head, MPS Interactive Systems; and Dr. Joydeep Biswas, KSOM. The unique proposition of this FDP was ‘hands on sessions.’
