KSOM Kick-Starts Kuriocity 2.0 & Kolosseum 2k20

KIIT School of Management kick-starts Kuriocity 2.0 (Business Research Fair) & Kolosseum 2k20 (B School Fest) – a 3 Day Business Fest, powered by Acer, with partnership with Zomato, Kiosha, Eeve and NSE Academy which was inaugurated by Prof. Saroj Kumar Mohapatra, Director, KSOM and MBA Chairperson, Prof. Ashok Kumar Sar.

Kuriocity 2.0, one of the biggest Research Fairs of India and Kolosseum 2k20 – KSOM’s Annual Fest, were inaugurated today amidst much jubilation by the Director, Prof. S.K. Mohapatra. The day witnessed about 782 participants from various parts of the city. Students from various schools of KIIT, Sri Sri University, ITER, Birla Global University, Ravenshaw College and other prominent institutions were the part of Kuriocity 2.0. Even the staff and faculty of KSOM participated in the games modeled to represent research problems. 

On its first day, it had a variety of games like Gaming Arena, Food Kart, Scary House, Organic Vibes, Let Creators be Creators, Carry the weight and Cartoon Network Studios, the games were based on different concepts like Candy Crush and Business Research. It conducted its first business event, Stock Challenge, a game based on Stock Market investment with virtual money.

A business event Stock Challenge was organized between 11 AM to 1 PM at Kalam Hall of Campus 7.  Stock Challenge, in association with NSE, was a mock trading competition in which NSE provided the platform for the students to conduct intra-day trading. The event witnessed participation from 115 students and was immensely appreciated by all. It was a matter of pride that the winners and runners-up of the event were the students of KSOM.

A cultural event War of Bands marked the end of the first day. Eight bands from different colleges like CV Raman College of Engineering, NIFT, and various schools of KIIT such as Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Computer Science etc. participated. KSOM’s own band was a part of the event as well.
