KSOM conducted a Webinar on the topic: “Preparation for Competitive Exams”

As part of the Knowledge Dialogue Series, a Webinar was held on July 25, from 4:00 P.M. to 5:15P.M., for the students of MBA and BBA, on the topic “Preparation for Competitive Exams”. The Webinarhighlighted how to analyze one’s intrinsic ability to crack such exams, the breakup of the subject papers that constitute the exams, and the cycle of the exams, from advertisements, to publication of results.

The speaker of the day was Shaikh Aminkhan, (I.R.S.), Dy. Regional Passport Officer, Kolkata. Mr. Khan graduated as an Aeronautical Engineer from Gujarat University, pursued the Civil Services, and cleared the same at first attempt in 2010. He is an officer of the Indian Revenue Service of 2011 batch. After completion of the foundation course and training at National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics at Faridabad, Mr. Khan had an opportunity to visit the Maxwell School of Syracuse University, Syracuse, United States, to understand the administration of taxes at the United States, and participated in the International Meet on CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives) organized by the United States at Bangkok, Thailand, with other participating countries. He has worked in the different portfolios of administering and monitoring Indirect Taxations, anti-smuggling activities of Customs and Narcotics at Bengaluru, and is presently posted on deputation with the Ministry of External Affairs, Regional Passport Office, Kolkata. Mr. Khan is also pursuing law from University of Calcutta at present and when he is not busy being a brilliant officer, he loves to play cricket and volleyball.
