KRITARTH 5.0 held at KIIT
Khwaab, the Society based on the philosophy of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS organized their annual 2 day Social Awareness Event-KRITARTH 5.0 with the theme of “MILLION DOLLAR SMILE.”
The Inaugural Ceremony on 19th October, 2019 witnessed an amazing Fashion Show by the Specially Abled kids from the Institute of Helping the Disabled. The Fashion Show had Autistic, Down Syndrome, Deaf, Dumb and a Wheelchair bound kids. Their costumes were designed by JD Institute of Fashion Technology. In fact, the Director of JD, Mr. Vishal Subudhi is an Alumnus of KIIT.
The Directors of the Institute of Helping the Disabled were felicitated for their great work of taking care of the disabled and their dedication and commitment in giving Smiles to those children.
The ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta; Vice Chancellor, Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty; Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sasmita Samanta; Registrar, Prof. Jnyanaranjan Mohanty and Deputy Director, Student Services, Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura. The last part of the ceremony was marked by dance and skit performance on “Million Dollar Smile” by KIIT Students. The crowd really enjoyed the Fashion event and got inspired by it.
The social night held on 20th October, 2019 had Shrinidhi Ghatate, an eminent singer who performed live for the audience. The main attraction were the kids from Madhurmayee Ashram, Jharpada, where kids of the prisoners stay and study. They came to watch this amazing live performance and went back with smiles on their faces.
