KONVOY 3.0 to mark the International Women’s Day

KIIT NSS School of Electronics Engineering has organized a three day event KONVOY 3.0 from 15^th Mar 2019 to 17^th Mar 2019.

The Day 1 commenced with the FUTSAL event at Campus-13, with 32 teams from different Universities of India. On 16^th March, 2019, the Youth Parliament event kick-started. Along with this, 3D Printing Workshop was conducted by KIIT Technology Business Incubator under KONVOY 3.0.

On 17^th March, 2019 the flagship event Mini Marathon was flagged off in the presence of Dr. Rambabu Kodali(Pro-VC); Dr. Arun Kumar Ray (Dean, School of Electronics Engineering); Dr. Amlan Dutta (Associate Dean School of Electronics Engineering) and Dr. Arindam Deb(Dy. Director, QA Cell), with cooperation from Dr. Gaganendu Dash (Director, Sports) and KIIT Sports Team.

On 17^th March, 2019, an open mic competition “Lafz” was also organized which had the gracious presence of Mr. Pravanjan K. Tripathy, Manager at Axis Bank and a poet at Hindi Literary Society as the judge.

The Youth Parliament was ably led by Co-Speaker Mr. Avyakt Mishra from Ravenshaw University and Ms. Ayushi Dash, who is working at Deloitte, Hyderabad. The debate continued for two days on the bills, “The Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019” and “The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) 2019”. The Day 1 ended with a dancing beats from TPH and KIIT NSS SOEE Flash-mob team.

The Mini-marathon had a total participant of over 1000 including students from KIIT, KISS, International students, other Universities and faculty members.

KONVOY 3.0 2019 is the third edition to the mega successful KONVOY Marathon 2017 and this time, the hard work of the five student organizers Shivam Saurabh Dubey, Kajal Sharma, Abhishek Chauhan, AyushVerma and Alisha Mishra and Dr. Kajal Parashar, Coordinator, KIIT NSS Bureau, Faculty Coordinators / NSS Program Officers Prof. Sruti S. Singh and Prof. Satyadeep Das from School of Electronics Engineering.

Besides, the event focused on Women Empowerment which was immensely supported by our Honorable Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta and Registrar of KIIT Prof. Sasmita Samanta.
