KISS Life Time Achievement Award to Dharampal Gulati 1-day Seminar on KISS: A True Reflection of Gandhian Philosophy
While the Global Community is all set to observe the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a 1-day Seminar on the theme “KISS: A True Reflection of Gandhian Philosophy” was organised at the behest of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar on 28th September 19.
On this occasion, Life Time Achievement Award was conferred upon the Founder-President of ‘MDH’ Spices Company, Padma Bhusan Mahashay Dharampal Gulati by veteran freedom fighter Padmashree Bhabani Charan Patanik on behalf of KISS.
Hon’ble Minister of State(I) for I& PR and Water Resources, Sri Raghunandan Das; Secretary to Govt of Odisha for Odia Language, Literature, Tourism and Culture Sri Manoranjan Panigrahi; Eminent Literateur and Critic, Sri Asit Mohanty; Prof. Shantanu Acharya; Dash Benhur; Prabina Mohanty; Shashanka Chudamani; Dr. Arya Kumar Gyanendra, President, Mahatma Gandhi Non Violence Heritage Institute Trust; Jatni Legislature Suresh Kumar Routray; Social Workers Jagadananda; Madhubhai; Former VC of Utkal University of Culture, Prof. Bimalendu Mohanty; President of KIIT and KISS Smt. Saswati Bal; Vice President Umapada Bose; Eminent Journalists, Pradosh Patnaik; Dilip Hali; Pradymna Satapathy; Green Crusader Dilip Srichandan and State President of Samajbadi Party, Rabi Behera etc graced the event and discussed elaborately how Gandhian Philosophy has been turned out to be a reality in KISS.
The dignitaries remarked that Gandhiji was often citing education as the crucial tool to uplift the downtrodden into the social mainstream, which has been aptly reflected in KISS.The thoughts of Gandhi for non violence, peace, clenniness, punctuality, dedication, women empowerment and cottage industries are being clearly reflected in day to day activities in KISS.
Accepting the Life Time Achievement Award, Sri Gulati said, “I am overwhelmed to see such an institution like KISS. It is the blessings of God which enabled me to see such a noble institute. I am thankful to KISS and Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS for giving such a prestigious award to me.”
While Dr. Achyuta Samanta placed the welcome speech, VC of KISS DU Prof.(Dr.) Harekrishna Satapathy conducted the event. On the occasion, MP Anubhav Mohanty along with many distinguished people from different walks of life participated. Eventually, multifarious products manufactured by KISS students were displayed and subsequently fascinating cultural shows were also performed by the students.
