KIIT Student’s Film Selected for International Inter-University Film Festival

Rajkishore Mohapatra, a student of School of Film and Media Sciences (SFMS), KIIT Deemed to be University, has made the university proud on his selection for the 12th International Inter-University Film Festival, organized by the United Nations Human Rights Council and Dhaka Film Society. 

It is a significant achievement, as out of 2583 films submitted from 106 countries, only 200 films were officially selected. Selected films will be screened online from 3rd to 12th August 2020. His documentary “TAMAS” will be screened on 6th August, 2020 and will be available to watch online for 24 hours. The official selection list can be found on: http://www.dufs.org/

Expressing happiness, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS wished success for his future endeavours. Prof. Himanshu Khatua, CEO, SFMS, SFT & SMC congratulated Sri Rajkishore Mohapatra for his achievement.

Earlier, Rajkishore Mohapatra’s documentary ‘MAYA- A STATE OF TRANCE’, which was based on an underprivileged kid of Bhubaneswar falling victim to drug abuse, had bagged the Best Documentary Award in Philadelphia Youth Film Festival. He was honored with the Youth in Outstanding Contribution for Social Cause award in 2019.
