KIIT Student Bags Prestigious MITACS Globalink Research Internship Award
Naushin Yasmin, a B.Tech 6th Semester student from KIIT School of Civil Engineering, has been selected for the prestigious MITACS Globalink Research Internship Award (Canada Govt.) under the able guidance and support from Prof. (Dr) Kundan Samal. She will work with a professor from University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada for three months on a project “Harvesting Clean Energy from Wastewater by Membranes”. Prior to getting the offer letter, she was interviewed by a professor at University of Northern British Columbia, Canada in the month of January 2021. The student had published a paper during her 5th semester in a high impact factor journal “Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering”, which also plays a major role in the selection process.
