KIIT Schools of Film, Fashion and Mass Communication organize Welcome Ceremony
School of Fashion Technology, School of Mass Communication and School of Film & Media Sciences of KIIT Deemed to be University organized the Welcome Ceremony for freshers on 15th November, 2019.
Gracing the Welcome Ceremony, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder KIIT and KISS wished all the new students a bright future. He hoped that very soon all the three schools would be world class.
Prof. Himanshu Khatua, CEO, School of Fashion Technology, School of Mass Communication and School of Film & Media Sciences in his welcome address introduced the guests. He wished a bright and prosperous career to all the new comers in their respective areas of creativity.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Hrushikesh Mohanty advised the students to be sincere and hard-working. Through the story of a book titled “House of Mr. Biswas”, he told the students how to create an environment of credibility and belief in their own ecosystem. He further stressed importance on the new avenues of these courses and advised all to work hard and achieve their goals.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Sasmita Samanta addressed the students as creative artists in their respective fields. As creativity has no rules and guidelines, the student should also try to explore their potentialities without restricted rules but all have to learn the art of discipline within the course, she added. She further advised the faculty members and students to work hard and create a National identity.
In his address, Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT DU, advised the students to learn discipline, sincerity and punctuality. He further advised the students to explore the ample amount of opportunities provided by KIIT DU.
In the end of the inaugural session, Course Coordinator, School of Mass Communication Dr. Bidu Bhusan Dash extended vote of thanks to all the dignitaries.
