KIIT School of Electrical Engineering organizes Fresher’s Welcome Event “KOSMICAL-2K19”
The B. Tech fresher’s welcome function, “KOSMICAL 2K19– No amount of resistance can drop our potential ” of Electrical Engineering was held on 18th September, 2019 at KIMS Auditorium, Campus-5.
The function was graced by Prof. Hrushikesh Mohanty, Vice Chancellor (SoT), KIIT DU; Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Pro-Vice Chancellor (SoT), KIIT DU; Prof. Biswajit Sahoo, Director, Student Affairs, KIIT DU; Prof. Biswajit Ghosh, Visiting Professor and Prof. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Director, School of Electrical Engineering.
Prof. Hrushikesh Mohanty explained the role of the students to maintain the eminence of the University in terms of academic, research and alumni connect.
Prof. Sasmita Samanta appreciated the passion, confidence and commitment shown by the students in organizing the event and advised to one and all to utilize the university platform to excel in their own field and was impressed with the creativity and innovation ideas of the Electrical students in designing the Robots.
Prof. Biswajit Ghosh emphasized on the value of Electrical Engineering outside the country and explained by giving examples of various famous scientists.
Prof. Biswajit Sahoo emphasized on the importance of the Electrical Engineering in the society. He reiterated that Electrical Engineering is the parent of all branches.
Prof. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi shared the glorious achievements of the School and motivated the students to face the challenges through hard work and dedication.
The students performed various cultural activities and enthralled the audience. The program was witnessed by the other honorary guests, faculty members, students of the school and other administrative staffs. The overall arrangements and performances were observed meticulously by different Faculty coordinators under the close observation of Dr. Sarat Chandra Swain, Associate Dean, KIIT School of Electrical Engineering.
