Celebrates Teachers’ Day 2021
ASCE, ICE and NSS, under the guidance of KIIT Society of Civil Engineers (KSCE), celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2021 on virtual mode. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Moulick, Dean, SCE explained the true meaning of a teacher. A teacher encourages the students to think creatively, he said. Prof. B. G. Mohapatra, Director, Consultancy encouraged students to be a teacher from mind as it will help them learn more.
This was followed by cultural performances by the students. Students expressed gratitude to the teachers through poems (Aman Raj and Shinjini Das), dance performances (Ankita Das, Anushka Choudhury and Anshuman Mohapatra), story (Simant Soren), songs (Srestha Baidya, Pushpak Talukdar, Aakash Ghoshal and alumna, Laila Chakraborty), speech (Rajneesh Singh) and piano rendition (Bibhuti Bhushan). Some students also paid tributes through a video presentation, in which they talked about teachers in the form of shlokas and shayaaris, and skit performance. The event also featured an entertaining quiz in various genres.
Prof. Satya Samal thanked all the students for such a nice event. Prof. K. P. Samal, FIC, KSCE proposed the vote of thanks. The event was hosted by Shriyank, Aayusha, Sumi and Navasree.
