KIIT School of Biotechnology Organizes KAIZEN-Industry Talk Series: Chapter II

Ms. Sujoyta Ghosh, HR Head, DSS Imagetech delivered the talk at KAIZEN- Industry Talk Series: Chapter II organized by KIIT School of Biotechnology (KSBT). Introducing DSS Imagetech and its products, she described its joint ventures with other companies like Olympus Japan, Takara Bio and Magnus Opto India, and their manufacturing and marketing units. DSS has also launched a new company during the pandemic, NeoDx, that manufactures Covid-19 testing kits.

Stressing upon the importance of sync between the industry and education sector, she enlightened the students on how things actually work at industry level. She mentioned the importance of having in-depth knowledge related to the subject, the intensive training procedure and how studying never really stops if one wants to be up to speed. Basic communication skills, soft skills and the right attitude are a must for the smooth-functioning at a workplace, she stated. With new policies like ‘Make in India’ being introduced, Ms. Ghosh discussed the manufacturing and QA/QC sector in detail as it is full of opportunities. The talk was followed by an interactive question-answer session.

Ms. Ghosh has studied Psychology in Delhi University. She completed her PG Diploma course in CS Kothari Business School Chennai. She has more than 20 years of experience working in various industrial fields and is a seasoned HR personnel.

Dean Dr. Srinivas Patnaik, Dean, KSBT also spoke on the occasion, which was attended by faculty members besides students. Dr. Gopal Chowdhary proposed the vote of thanks.
