KIIT School of Architecture & Planning bags 6th IGBC Green Champion Award

‘KIIT School of Architecture & Planning’ was unanimously chosen as a winner of the 6th IGBC Green Champion Award under the category of ‘Institute encouraging IGBC Accredited Professionals’

The 6th Green Champion Award Ceremony was held during the IGBC Leadership Awards Night on 27th September, 2019 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), HITEC city, Hyderabad. 

KIIT School of Architecture & Planning in Bhubaneswar, Odisha has shown commitment towards the capacity building of students in the field of green buildings. IGBC training programme was conducted for 54 students and an IGBC student chapter was also launched in this institute earlier this year. Later, all the trained students also appeared for the IGBC Accredited Professional Examination.

Ar Chandana Parida, Assistant Professor, KIIT School of Architecture & Planning, received the IGBC Green Champion award for ‘Institute encouraging IGBC Accredited Professionals’ from the Chief Guests, Mr. Mekapati Goutham Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Commerce & Information Technology, Government of Andhra Pradesh and Mr. Rajeswar Tiwari, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Environment, Forest, Science & Technology Department, Government of Telangana.

In fact, the annual Green Champion Award is the most prestigious honor bestowed by IGBC upon the leaders of the green building movement in India.
