KIIT Professor completes Leadership for Academicians Program (LEAP) at BHU, Varanasi and NTU, Singapore
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India has initiated a Leadership for Academicians Program (LEAP) for second level academic functionaries in public funded higher education institutions. The programme is of three weeks duration of which one week is a foreign training component. LEAP initiative primarily aims to prepare second tier academic heads who are potentially likely to assume leadership roles in the future.
The programme provides a unique opportunity to train identified faculty to a range of leadership and managerial skills including skills of problem-solving, handling stress, team building, conflict management, developing communication skills, creating a research and innovation environment, understanding and coping with the complexity and challenges of governance in Higher Education Institutions, financial & general administration.
Dr. Udai P Singh, Sr. Professor in the School of Electronics Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University has participated and successfully completed the Leadership Academician Program from 23rd Sept to 5thth October, 2019 at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi and from 7th Oct. to 12th October, 2019 at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. In all, 25 participants were selected from all over India to participate in this program.
