KIIT NSS Volunteers visited rural pockets to aware adolescent children about nutrition & healthy eating habits

The volunteers of NSS Unit of  School of Electronics Engineering under KIIT Deemed to be University NSS Bureau enthusiastically conducted rural visits to bring hope and happiness in the lives of the unfortunate.

One such visit was conducted by the volunteers at Padmakeshripur Village on account of  ‘Poshan Abhiyan’ promoted  by Ministry of Women and Child Development  on 9th and 10th September, 2019 which was centered around nutritional awareness and inculcation of healthy eating habits among the adolescent children. 

A rally was conducted by the volunteers which included various placards and slogans propagating various ways to avoid malnutrition and maintain fitness.

The volunteers then divided themselves into small teams who visited every doorsteps in explaining the need of physical activity, wholesome diet, obesity control and impact of packaged food on their health.
A thoughtful skit was then enacted by the volunteers which emphasized on healthy eating habits and how to get rid of malnutrition.

The rally-cum-visit was adeptly organized by Programme Officers Ms. Sruti Singh and Mr. Satydeep Das under the able leadership of Programme Coordinator Dr. Kajal Parashar.
