On 24th November, 2019, the Volunteers of KIIT NSS School of Electronics Engineering carried out Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at the Baliyatra field, Bhubaneswar.
The Volunteers cleaned the area in removing all the used plastic bags, polythene and other non biodegradable materials from the field under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Kajal Parashar(Programme Coordinator, KIIT NSS Bureau); Prof. Sruti S. Singh(PO, NSS SOEE) and Prof. Satyadeep Das(PO, NSS SOEE). The Sarpanch of Tangibanta village was also present during such noble work.
The Volunteers believe that being human beings, it is their responsibility and duty to keep the surrounding clean and pollution free. All the volunteers and members related to this event have thanked Dr. Achutya Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS and Senior Functionaries for their help and constant support towards the success of this event. “As we all believe that cleanliness is next to godliness, this is a baby step towards a better and healthy future”, the Volunteers remarked.
