KIIT-NSS, KIDS Organize Workshop on “Yoga for Wellbeing”
In the run up to the International Yoga Day, KIIT-NSS Bureau, in association with Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS), organized a workshop on “Yoga for Wellbeing” on 30th April 2022. The workshop featured two motivational sessions by Guest Speakers, Dr. Niranjan Kar, Ex. DHS Odisha and BK Durgesh Nandini, Centre-in-Charge, Brahmakumaris Unit-8, Bhubaneswar. Dr. Kar spoke about the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle and the opportunities ahead with a healthy life. BK Durgesh Nandini explained different modes of doing Yoga and Pranayamas and their applications on our routine life cycle. She also performed a live training of yoga and meditation with participants.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Asst. Director (Admin.), KIDS and Prof. Dr. Aswini Kumar Kar, Principal. They spoke about the importance of Yoga in maintaining the physical and mental wellbeing of every individual. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Singh, Faculty & NSS Program Officer, KIDS stressed the necessity of self-reliance and self-support in all domains of life, to maintain daily living free from stress and social burden on a human being. He expressed gratitude to Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS his inspiration to hold such events and programs.
