KIIT Medical Society ‘KIMAYA’, organizes a three day Health Fest – CHIMERA 2k18
‘KIMAYA’, the Medical, Dental and Nursing Society of KIIT Deemed to be University organized a three day Health Fest – CHIMERA 2k18 with the modus operandi “Eastern Medicine meets Western Medicine” that aims to provide a platform for the congregation of both medical and non-medical fraternity of eastern India along with other major schools and colleges embracing the whole country under one roof from 16th to 18th November, 2018.
The Inaugural Ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. (Mrs.) Sanghamitra Pati, Director, ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, Bhubaneswar; Maj. Gen. P.K. Patnaik, Principal cum Director, School of Medicine; Prof. (Dr.) Brahmananda Dutta, Principal, KIDS; Prof. Amrita Lenka, Principal, KINS and Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Dy. Director, Student Services, KIIT Deemed to be University.
A plethora of events were planned to inculcate the message of health through entertainment among the young mass. A total of 1200 participants participated in various events of Chimera 2k18. In order to boost the learning of Basic Life Support and Disaster Management, Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) was invited for conducting a Hands-on workshop in which more than 200 students participated. Health Aerobics was also conducted for school students.
The renowned Stand-up Comedian Mr. Abhishek Upamanyu graced the occasion and the enthralled the audience by means of his humorous stories.
