KIIT & KISS Celebrates Utkal Divas
Utkal Divas was celebrated with great enthusiasm by KIIT and KISS on 1st April, 2026. On this occasion, floral tributes were paid to the illustrious sons of Odisha, followed by a remembrance of their significant contributions toward the formation of a separate Utkal Province.
Attending the event as the chief guest, KIIT and KISS Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta stated that Odisha is set to complete 100 years of its formation as a separate state in 2036. He noted that while Odisha has made remarkable progress across various sectors over the years, KIIT and KISS have also been contributing for more than three decades to the development of education, healthcare, tribal empowerment, sports, literature, and culture in the state.
Dr. Samanta further emphasised that KIIT and KISS will continue to play a significant role in Odisha’s growth journey in the coming years. He added that the Odia community today stands as a symbol of cooperation and harmony.
Among others, KIIT Vice Chancellor Prof. Saranjit Singh, Pro-Vice Chancellors Dr. C B K Mohanty, Prof. Raju K. D., and Registrar Prof. J R Mohanty also shared their views on occasion, calling upon everyone to come together and extend their cooperation towards the continued development of Odisha.
The programme concluded with cultural performances presented by artists from KIIT and KISS.
