KiiT-IS bags 1st Position in Young Innovator Program
KiiT International School bagged 1st position for the project “Water Dispenser for Differently Abled People” in Young Innovator Program organized by IIT, Kharagpur. The project was presented by Standard 8th Students Pritesh Deb, Divyam Sahu and Ankit Pradhan under the guidance of Bijoy Mathur and Jharana Pany. The students were awarded certificates, trophy and a Cash Award of Rs. 50,000.
Congratulating the success students, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS said, KiiT International School has been achieving success in various fields since its inception. The students of this School have been nurtured to develop various innovative ideas. Praising the students’ feat, Chairperson Dr. Monalisa Bal said, this is a proud moment for the entire school. Dr. Sanjay Suar, Principal congratulated the entire team of INSPIRON and encouraged them to continue being part of such events.
IIT Kharagpur organizes Young Innovator Program every year to promote the innovative ideas of the children in the field of science. This year, 1000 projects were submitted from all over India, Singapore, Indonesia and Muscat. Total 33 projects made it to the semi final round where students presented their projects at IIT Kharagpur in a two-day event from 8 to 10th November. Only 6 projects were selected to the final round for a powerpoint presentation before Eminent Judges from IITs, CSIR, IISc., etc.
In another development, KiiT International School quiz club “KWIZZARDS” represented by Shreyansh Dwivedy, B. Ankit Patro and Swadin Rout of standard 11 (Humanities) bagged the first prize in “INQUIZITIVE”, the School Level Quiz Competition organized by XIMB, Bhubaneswar. The KiiT-IS was awarded “Best Quiz School Award”.
